The Clock Chart

A clock partner chart is a series of pages, each with a student's name at the top and a clock face drawn in the middle. One or more fellow student's name(s) are placed at each hour on the clock. The fellow student(s) also have a page with a clock chart on it with their name at the top and matching names at the same hour (so they all match together). They also have different names at all the other hours. A teacher can then say 'Get with your 2:00 partner(s) for this project/event/exercise' and the student can use their charts to group up. This gives each student up to 12 different people/groups to work with and get to know.

The Simple Chart

There is also a 'plain' or 'simple' chart you can make if you so choose that shows a persons name at the top of the page with a numbered list of partners down the page. The same principles apply (each person has a person/group for each numbered 'match' and no repeat partners). The simple chart just doesn't have the cool clock face but perhaps for a professional retreat or business meeting this might be better. It is up to you. In this case you might simply say 'Team up with the person/people at position 2' for example. It is only a difference in the presentation and you decide which way to go in the wizard.
